The Southeast Region Career & Technology Center and National Technical Honor Society proudly recognized Dr. Steven L. Johnson, Lisbon Superintendent on Wednesday, April 24th as a recipient of Honorary Membership in the National Technical Honor Society. Dr. Johnson is only the 3rd recipient of such a prestigious recognition in the 30 year history of SRCTC-NTHS.
Over the years. there are amazing stories of community leaders or business people that have supported and advocated for high school academic standards in Career and Technical Education. The SRCTC thanks them for their encouragement and assistance and specifically recognizes Dr. Johnson for his contributions, leadership and support of quality Career and Technical Education opportunities for all students. Dr. Johnson started is CTE Career in Lisbon High School as a High School student enrolled in Agriculture Education and serving as the Lisbon FFA Chapter President. he has served in various school districts teaching and leadership positions, and presently is the LPS Superintendent, a position he has held for the past 26 years.
