I am proud to announce that after a blind peer-review, my proposal The Value of Rural School/Community Partnerships has been accepted for inclusion in the International Symposium for Innovation in Rural Education in Bozeman, MT August 1-3.  My presentation includes the work of the rural teacher corps and other recruitment/retention models; project-based learning intentionally becoming place-based learning; and the importance of the role of schools in rural communities with ways to build partnerships.  My presentation is based on my doctoral research and years as a practicing small school superintendent in Lisbon, ND.  I have also been asked to help with a national collaboration of organizations to help design a national talent strategy for rural schools.  I am proud to be representing Lisbon, North Dakota and the United States at this international event.  #WhyRuralSchoolsMatter #InnovativeND #MakeItWorkND
