American Sign Language Courses


The Lisbon Public Schools will be hosting Basic I ASL and Basic II ASL this fall semester in our High School ITV room beginning on Tuesday September 4.  The Basic I ASL class is scheduled from 4:00 to 4:45 and the Basic II ASL class will run from 5:00 until 5:45.  Graduate credit is available from Minot State University.  The classes are offered through North Dakota School for the Deaf with Lilia Bakken as the instructor.  If you are interested in taking one of these courses, please contact Dr. Steven L. Johnson as soon as possible so that he can order materials needed for the classes.  These classes are open to the public as well as to staff and students.

North Dakota Center for Distance Education is now offering the 3rd most popular language in the United States – American Sign Language for high school credit online.   Click here for a list of available courses.
