Photo of Samantha JochimSamantha Jochim – Secondary English Teacher

Samantha grew up in Linton, North Dakota and attended Linton Public School. She attended North Dakota State University graduating in May 2019
with a degree in English Education. During her time at NDSU, Ms. Jochim found her passion in teaching and working with youth. She specialized in
English because of her love for reading and the written word. While completing her student teaching experience in West Fargo, Sam involved
herself in activities outside of her classroom, including helping to plan, fundraise, and chaperone a class field trip. When not teaching, Ms. Jochim
enjoys spending time outside and watching sporting events. She will be starting her teaching career at Lisbon Public School.

 

 

 


 

Hannah Gaukler – 5th & 6th Grade Teacher

Ms. Gaukler will be teaching 5th grade Language Arts and 6th grade Science. Hannah grew up in Hankinson, North Dakota where she attended Hankinson Public School. She attended Valley City State University, graduating in May 2019 with a Bachelor in Science degree, along with a reading credential. Hannah completed her student teaching in Maddock, North Dakota where she taught kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade. This will be Ms. Gaukler’s first year teaching. We are very excited to welcome Hannah Gaukler to our staff.

Miss Gelinske grew up in Oakes, North Dakota and attended Oakes High School. She is attending Concordia College in Moorhead, MN and will be graduating on May 5, 2019 with a degree in Elementary Education and a Middle Level Communication Arts Endorsement. While in college, Miss Gelinske was an athlete on the Women’s Track and Field team, and she was chosen by her teammates to be a captain for her senior season. For the past two seasons, Miss Gelinske has received Indoor and Outdoor Academic All-Conference honors. She was also an America Reads tutor, where she assisted students in grades second-fifth in a small group setting to provide extra support in reading and math. Miss Gelinske also enjoyed her time with youth while working as a lifeguard at the YMCA of Cass and Clay Counties. She had an incredible and diverse teaching experience in first grade at Ed Clapp Elementary in Fargo, ND.
Miss Gelinske is very excited to begin her teaching journey, and to share and practice the knowledge she has acquired during her time at Concordia College and classroom clinical experiences.

 

 


 

Photo of Ashley PuntonAshley Punton – FACS Teacher

Ashley will be teaching 9-12 FACS and advise FCCLA. She will be replacing Stacy Schimming. Ms. Punton grew up in Ayr, North Dakota and attended Maple Valley Public School. She is attending North Dakota State University and will be graduating in May of 2019. She will be graduating with a degree in Family and Consumer Science Education. While in college, Ashley has help judge FCCLA events at both the district and state levels. Ashley looks forward to beginning her teaching career at Lisbon Public Schools.
