Free or Reduced Price Meals at School
During the 2023 Legislative Session, SB2284 included funding to expand the Federal Income Guidelines for students from families making up to 200% of the poverty guidelines, to receive Free Breakfast and Lunch. This means the income guidelines were increased to provide thousands more students free meals in schools across North Dakota! We encourage all families to fill out a free or reduced price meal application. Every eligible application counts and adds valuable resources to our school. Submitting your school meal application helps ensure that all students and their families have access to nutritious meals and other benefits. Completing an application takes less than 10 minutes and you only need to complete one application per family. Applications are confidential and will not be shared outside of the school district’s office. Since your family’s financial situation may change from year to year, you must fill out a new application each school year. Applications are available to be printed from the “Free/Reduced APPLICATION” button located on the bottom of this webpage or you may stop and pick one up at the school.
